Harry William

Hey! I'm Harry, but I am also known by friends as Stilo. I love to improve and enhance products and experiences, to better user connection and satisfaction.

about me

I graduated from Brunel University in 2017 with a First Class Honours Degree in Industrial Design. My core applications are Solidworks, Keyshot, Adobe Suite, and Figma. Currently, I am a Lead Product Designer for Stateside Skates, and Brand Manager for Slamm Scooters.

Based in Amersham, just outside of London, I am an Industrial Designer who likes to focus on the stories behind the product. I believe an emphasis on the story results in a stronger user experience and engagement. This leads to more powerful brand identities, narratives, and products.

WORK

Stateside Skates

I currently work for Stateside Skates as Lead Product Designer (3D) and as Brand Manager for Slamm Scooters.

I am responsible for managing the in-house 3D design and working with factories in the far east to collaborate on creating user focused, successful products.

My role allows me to work closely with other brand managers from Stateside's talented team on all seven brands that they own. I also work with the marketing and sales team on product launches and defining product ranges and RRPs.

I am lucky to be responsible for several stages of our product design process from conducting user research and creating rapid prototypes, to performing quality control checks on our produced products to ensure they meet our high standards.

Innovate Product Design

I worked at Innovate Product Design after graduating from Brunel University of London in Industrial Design. I enjoyed working in this fast-paced consultancy as I was able to work on a wide variety of projects, for a variety of different clients.

At Innovate Product Design, my responsibilities were to work on defining a project brief with clients and creating initial sketches to be signed off. The next step was either to create a range of different ideas that would solve the brief, develop one concept so that the client would have presentation boards to search for additional funding or approach possible businesses to help develop the product.

After this stage, some clients would choose to develop prototypes with us where we would use the in-house workshop or rapid prototyping to create either proof of concept prototypes.
